Thanks for the great update TVPaint team, lots of nice fixes in it. But I've worked with even larger projects before (11.7.0 and older) without issue. The crash may come after 30 seconds but sometimes it takes a few minutes. Sometimes, in order to induce a crash, I've had to open a second large project and start scribbling again. I've been able to somewhat reliably cause TVPaint 11.7.1 to crash just by scribbling fast in a new project with large(ish) dimensions of 5000x5000 pixels.
When it happens, it doesn't freeze, TVPaint simply terminates without warning. TVPaint has been extremely stable for me over the years so this is quite strange! Also, the crashes occurred while I was drawing with the standard Pencil Brush. 1 release, however, it's crashed 3 times since installing it yesterday. I have not had any issues with the application crashing with either the initial 11.7.0 release in September or the hotfix from October.
